. Dropping all weight into the knees in a deep squat (hips close to ankles)

. Excessive hyper-extension at knees during hamstring stretches

Foot Press - credit: Ruthy Alon - Keeps legs moving while sitting and strengthens the quadriceps and gluteus maximus. Also helps prevent lower back tension. How it works: This Feldenkrais exercise is based on Newton's Third Law of equal and opposite reaction, as in pushing off from the ground when walking. Repeat several times on each side.

Foot Drag - Strengthens hamstrings. How it works: Works the hamstrings by using the floor instead of gravity for resistance. Repeat several times each leg.

Foot Raise - (Dorsi Flexion) Keeps legs moving while sitting and strengthens the muscles on the front of the shin. How it works: Mimics the walking pattern. Repeat several times on each side.

Foot Pedal - (Planter Flexion) Stimulates blood return from your feet to your heart by mimicking the walking pattern. Also strengthens the calf muscles. How it works: Uses the ground force to generate resistance. Repeat several times on each side.

Foot Roller - Stimulates sensory nerves found at the bottom of your foot. How it works: The roller serves as a massager. (need a foot roller for this exercise).

Quadricep Stretch - Releases tension from prolonged sitting. How it works: The hip flexors get tight when sitting. This exercise will stretch them. Repeat once on each side.
